is a scientist and writer based in New York City. He has a PhD from The Rockefeller University in Molecular Biophysics and is currently an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU. His writing has appeared in The Village Voice, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Gawker, The Kenyon Review, The Rumpus, The Lambda Literary Review, and The Feminist Wire, where he is an Associate Editor, and elsewhere, too. His book, Capsid: A Love Song won the POZ Award for best HIV writing (fiction/poetry) and is a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. He has a second book forthcoming from Sibling Rivalry Press (January, 2018) and is represented by Katie Kotchman at Don Congdon Associates. With three other queer writers, he's launched a podcast, Food 4 Thot, covering culture, sexuality, and literature. He's available for campus visits and readings via the contact form on this site.
